Inhibitory Effect of Neem Seed Extract on Soil Nitrogen Mineralization under Chemical and Organic Amendments

چکیده

Background: Improvement of nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) chemical fertilizers and N-rich-organic amendments using natural mineralization inhibitors, like neem extract, was recommended to minimize (N) loss. This study hence aimed evaluate the effects combined uses seed extract with cricket feces on soil N plant NUE. Methods: The treatment combinations included i) amending materials involving unamended (Un), fertilizer at a rate 312.5 kg ha-1, 100 P ha-1 K (CF) three rates (CrF) [3.125 (CrFlow), 6.25 (CrFmedium) 12.5 (CrFhigh) Mg ha-1], ii) in combination without (-Nm) (+Nm) extract. Amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor) employed assay plant’s Result: Neem inhibited under Un (74%) CF (84%) treatments, but not any CrF treatments (-102%, -99% -2% for CrFlow, CrFmedium CrFhigh, respectively. In addition, significantly decreased NUE parameters, including recovery agronomy NUE, only treatment. could function as an inhibitor chemically fertilized soils.

Nitrogen Mineralization of a Loam Soil Supplemented with Organic–Inorganic Amendments under Laboratory Incubation

The quantification of nitrogen (N) supplying capacity of organic amendments applied to a soil is of immense importance to examine synchronization, N release capacity, and fertilizer values of these added materials. The aims of the present study was to determine the potential N mineralization and subsequent nitrification of separate and combined use of poultry manure (PM), wheat straw residues (...

Organic and inorganic nitrogen amendments to soil as nematode suppressants.

Inorganic fertilizers containing ammoniacal nitrogen or formulations releasing this form of N in the soil are most effective for suppressing nematode populations. Anhydrous ammonia has been shown to reduce soil populations of Tylenchorhynchus claytoni, Helicotylenchus dihystera, and Heterodera glycines. The rates required to obtain significant suppression of nematode populations are generally i...

The Effect of Land use and Soil Erosion on Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen Stock

Soil organic carbon (SOC) is a principal component in soil quality assessment. Knowledge of SOC and total nitrogen (TN) stocks are important keys to understand the role of SOC in the global carbon cycle and, as a result, in the mitigation of global greenhouse effects. SOC and TN stocks are functions of the SOC concentration and the bulk density of the soil that are prone to changes, influe...
